There are graves at the top and the bottom of the hill. The
fence and graves are in poor repair. |

SE1/4 Sec 21 T30N R85W 16 MILES west of the town of Alcova and one
mile south of Wyoming Highway 220. |
There are no grave sites visible. |
| CASPER MOUNTAIN CEMETERY (3), also known as Laymon Cemetery, Echo
Canyon Cemetery, and Elkhorn Canyon Cemetery |
SE ¼ Sect 4 T32N R79W. It is five miles south of Casper.
Using Casper Mountain Road, the entrance is at the second hairpin turn. |
There are no burials as this cemetery was established in the early
1970s for ashes only (cremains). It was originally a private owned
property in a secluded area donated to those who wished to scatter ashes.
The sexton of Highland Cemetery in Casper has kept the records for Casper
Mountain Cemetery (see Highland Cemetery for address). |

The cemetery is fenced and well maintained. |

mile southeast of the site of Eadsville. |
The fence and graves are in poor repair. There are other unmarked
graves nearby. |

Sec 19 T40N R78W ½ mile west of the town of Edgerton. |
It is fenced and in good repair. There are five grave sites
unmarked. |

| FOUGSTEDT CEMETERY (6) |
Sec 8 T32N R79W about six miles south of Casper on Casper Mountain. |
The cemetery is fenced and well maintained. |
| FREELAND CEMETERY (1) |
S1/2SW1/4 T31N R80W. It is 24 miles southwest of Casper. |
It is fenced and kept in good repair. The written records
are kept with the Natrona County Clerk. |
| HIGHLAND CEMETERY |
Fourth and Conwell Streets in Casper, WY |
The first cemetery in Casper was located in the area of McKinley
and A Streets. The graves here were later moved to the present location
of Highland Cemetery. The cemetery is fenced and well maintained.
The sexton’s office maintains cemetery records; address is Highland Cemetery,
1715 E. Fourth St., Casper, WY 82601. |

originally called Wolton and was changed to Hiland about 1927. |

| MARTINS COVE (17) |
Sec 28 T29N R87W west of the Sun Ranch (which is now the Mormon
Handcart Museum) and near Devil’s Gate. |
There are no grave sites visible. |
| MEMORIAL GARDENS CEMETERY |
7430 West Yellowstone Highway, Casper, WY. |
It is a private cemetery and was opened in 1954. The site maintains
records that include the deceased’s name, name of the lot owner and relationship
to the deceased and address, date of burial, funeral director, and in most
files, a copy of the newspaper obituary. Address is Memorial Gardens,
Sexton, P. O. Box 824, Casper, WY 82602. |

It is fenced and in good repair. |

The cemetery is fenced and well maintained. |

It is at a ranch home 7 ½ miles southwest of Hiland |
| OLD ALCOVA CEMETERY (8) |
NENW Sec 18 T30N R82W ½ mile north of Gray Reef Dam. |
The cemetery is fenced. |
| OREGON TRAIL CEMETERY |
80 Veterans Cemetery Rd., Evansville, WY (just east of Casper). |
Wyoming state veterans cemetery. This cemetery is limited
to veterans and their dependents. The first burial was in November
1983. The site maintains records that include name, branch of service,
date entered service, date discharged, date of birth, date of death, wars
in which individual served, date of burial, and location of grave. The
cemetery is fenced and well maintained. The Sexton’s address is P.O.

11 miles from Alcova and ½ mile northeast of Pathfinder Dam. |
Only three marked graves and four unmarked graves can be seen. |
| RED BUTTES CEMETERY (16) |
SW1/4 NE1/4 Sec 16 T33N R80W about four miles west of Casper. |
This is actually a memorial to the men who died in the 1865 Battle
of Red Buttes. Stones mark places designated as graves; the bodies
of the soldiers have not been located. |
| WALTMAN CEMETERY (9) |
Sec 20 T36N R86W ½ mile east of the town of Waltman. |
The cemetery is fenced, but in poor repair. There are four
unmarked graves. |
