| Researching "from away" can be
difficult, time-consuming AND frustrating. The Sno-Isle Genealogical
Society receives many requests for look-ups and records searches; we
would like to help you as much as we can. Be sure to check the 2013 FEE SCHEDULEwhich
lists the costs of general photocopies, computer print copies,
obituaries and published marriages from the library's Special
Collections, etc., In-House research fees and the Historic
Snohomish County Overlay Mapping Project.
SIGS is happy to do "In-House" look-ups from the Society's library holdings. Check our ONLINE CATALOG,
and include in your request the name of the book, the author, the call
number and the surname of your target individual. If you're
using surface mail, PLEASE enclose a self-addressed stamped
envelope, and a check to cover the cost of photocopies; don't
send cash. If you're emailing your look-up request, the SIGS
researcher will let you know the photocopy fee and any postage
cost.
Always discuss fees and other charges with the researcher before he/she begins the search. Email all Look-Up requests to sigs (AT) alderwood.org using ATTN-LOOKUPS as the message header OR send your requests to Sno-Isle Genealogical SocietyDon't forget to include a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope!
