"A Window on North West Wales" by WAGS Columnist J. Alan Roberts, Mbr. #1197 offers WAGS members insight to their heritage in that region of Wales including Gwynedd, Anglesey and Conwy, the column published in the WAGS hardcopy newsletter editions four times a year.
Alan is a retired High School history teacher, a native Welsh speaker and son of a slate quarryman from Llanberis.  A graduate of University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, Alan worked for 29 years as Head of History at Ysgol Eifionydd, Porthmadog, Gwynedd. Prior to that, he taught at Ysgol Gyfun Rhydfelen, Pontypridd (the first Welsh medium school in South Wales).
