The Final Obsequies
The funeral service over the remains of Robert Boyd were held Sunday afternoon, Rev Fr , Straeten officiating. The services were very impressive, and although there was a heavy shower during the afternoon thirty nine carriages were in the cortege that followed the remains of a honored citizen to their last resting place. The church was beautifully and appropriately decorated. The alter of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Joseph's alter were draped in mourning, with potted plants in profusion. Some handsome floral places were given, one a heart, made of red Carnations and violets, was from the Degree of Honor Lodge. Another was a anchor, made of apple blossoms and pansies, given by the A. O. U. W. A broken wheel, made of cut flowers with a calla lily for the hub, was from the Sam Sweeny Hose Company, and the Knights of Pythies Lodge was also represented by a design. There were also several bouquets from Omaha and other friends here. The pall bearers were M. J. O Neill, Peter Finnegan, R. J. Herron, John Keliher, P. F. McMahon and Frank McMahon.
The honorary pall bearers were C. J. Buell, C. W.
Brown, A. Z. Wells, James Halley, C.W . Clifford, C. M. Caton.
