Polish State Archives
The State Archive offices listed below are the central repositories for civil records found in the area served by each State Archive. Civil records more than 100 years old are housed at these archives. Below the map, you will find links to each of these offices. Click on the name of the State Archive to be taken to its official web site.
Note: Information found in brackets [ ] is a means to represent Polish diacritical marks in the event that your browser does not display the correct Polish letters of the alphabet. The symbol ~ represents an accent mark above or a "tail" below a letter; the symbol ` represents a "dot" above the letter Z.
