Mr. McGillis farm yields annually 1000 bushels of grain, 90 tons of hay, livestock equipment is 35 graded Ayrshires, 5 horses, 28 swine and over 100 fowl. Mr. McGillis has been farming all his life, and has been a member of the Cornwall Cheese Board since it was organized twenty-one years ago. He is a patron of the Glencoe Cheese Factory. The average quantity of milk delivered from Mr. McGillis' farm daily during the season is 550 pounds. He also makes 400 pounds of butter. Mr. McGillis has been active politically in the past, and was at one time honored by the electorate by being elevated to the position of Warden of the Three United Counties. |
