Marguerite E. Jarvis

JARVIS, Marguerite E. "Monie," 80, of Wintersville, Ohio, died Sunday, March 25, 2001, in Trinity Medical Center, Steubenville, Ohio. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio on January 25, 1921, the daughter of the late Howard and Marguerite Ingler Montgomery.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Clara McConnell.

She was a member of Finley Unit­ed Methodist Church, Steubenville, and it's United Methodist Women's Club, where she was very active and held several offices. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women's Club of the Steubenville District, and held several offices within its group. She was a devoted homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Harry Jarvis Jr.; a son, Bob Jarvis and his wife, Chris of Bloomingdale, Ohio; a daughter, Mrs. Lou (Charlene) Petrozzi, with whom she resided in Wintersville, Ohio; a brother, Dr. Howard Montgomery and his wife Bets of Kilmarnock, Va.; a sister, Betty Evans of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Renee, Katelyn and Vince Petrozzi, Jeramey and Cassady Jarvis and Katlin Wenger.

Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Road, Wintersville, Ohio, on Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friends may also call on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. at Finley United Methodist Church, Steubenville, Ohio, with Rev. P. Douglas George officiating. Burial at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Win­tersville, Ohio.

George Jenkins


Greensburg, Pa.--George M. Jenkins, 58, of Greensburg, died Tuesday at his home of natural causes. Mr. Jenkins was a former area resident.

He was employed by the West Penn Power Co. of Greensburg.

He leaves his widow, Mrs. Dorothy Jenkins; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Williams of Bantam Ridge Court, Wintersville; a brother, H. L. Jenkins of South Carolina and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Keppel Funeral Home tonight from 7-9 p.m.; services there at 1:30 p.m. Friday; burial at West Newton, Pa. Masonic services will be held tonight at the funeral home.
