James Fellows died November 16, 1902

James Fellows died at Unionport this county, Sunday morning, November 16, aged 76 Years. He had lived as a tenant on the Lewis farm on Warren Ridge for more that Forty-Five Years and had just moved to Unionport to property recently purchased. Besides his wife there survives five children: Oscar Fellows & Mrs. S. E. Conaway on Warren Ridge; Mrs. J. W. Bateman of Brilliant, Mrs. Mahlon Newburn of Unionport & Harry, who is a soldier in the regular army, he was home on furlough and was present at the time of his father's death. One son, William died February 22, 1884. Deceased was a member of the M. E. Church. He served as a Private in Company H, Fifty-First Ohio Volunteer Infantry from May 1864 to June 1865.

After an illness of three months, William Henry Fellows, 75, died at 2:45 am Sunday in his home near Smithfield. A life long resident of the Smithfield vicinity, he was born December 5, 1884, the son of the late Oscar & Mary Briggs Fellows. Mr. Fellows was a member of the Smithfield Methodist Church. Surviving are two brothers, James H. Fellows of Clarington, O & John L Fellows, at home and a sister, Miss Ruth Ellen Fellows also at home.. Rev. L. C. Henne and Rev. H L. Linton will officiate for services at 2 pm Tuesday in the Ridgley Funeral Home. Burial will be made in Hopewell Cemetery.

Edward Fisher

Obituary Steubenville Hearld Star 26/August/1964

Edward N. Fisher , 89 , who resided with his son-in-law at 620 Ross Park Blvd, died on Tuesday in Ohio Valley Hospital.

Mr. Fisher was retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad where he worked for 27 years. After retiring from the railroad, he worked 20 years for the Massachusetts Mutual Insurance Co.

He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ.

He leaves three grandchildren and one great grandson. A daughter, Mrs. Lois Quinn, preceded him in death in 1962.

Friends may call at the McClave Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m., and 7-9 p.m., today; services Thursday, 3;30 p.m.; Rev. Mr. William H. Banks; Steubenville Union Cemetary.

Edward Francis, well known man of Irondale passes away. He was the son of Allen and Amy Francis, was born in St. Marys, West Virginia March 13, 1843: departed this life December 17, 1923, aged 78 years, 9 months and 4 days.

He at the age of 23, married to Miss Rachel Burgy, and to this union were born 14 children. There are left to mourn his loss, Charley Francis, of Irondale, Ohio, Mrs. Mary Jane Lewis of Parkersburg. W. Va., Mrs Viola McGilton of Powhaton Point, Ohio, Mrs. Mennie Jenkins of St.Clairsville, Ohio, Theodore Francis of Newcomerstown, Ohio, R.B. Francis, Albert Francis and Clark Francis all of Irondale, Ohio, James Francis of Mingo, Ohio, Mrs Edith Fetzer of Akron, Ohio.

Four have preceeded him to the heavenly home, and will be waiting to greet him on the other shore. He lost his wife in 1897 and was again married to Mrs. Evaline Burns, in 1901 and to this union one child was born, Mrs. Edna Rice of Irondale, Ohio. In all to mourn his loss he leaves a bereaved wife and eleven children, 60 grandchildren and 14 great grandchldren and many other relatives and friends.

This is the info on a death card given to me by family. Edward and Rachel Burgy Francis are my Great Great Grandparents.

Mrs Emma Ekey Frazier

Mrs. Emma Ekey Frazier, 75, wife of Thomas Frazier of Cross Creek township, near New Alexandria, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at her home following six months’ illness.

She was born January 1, 1868 in Cross Creek township a daughter of Mathew and Elizabeth McCullough Ekey. She was married to Thomas Frazier, Jun 7, 1922 and had resided at New Rubley for years, returning to the place of her birth 10 years ago. She was a member of the New Rumley Methodist church, well respected in that section. Her death will be regretted by a host of friends.

Surviving are her husband and a sister, Mrs. Dora Brown of New Alexandria.

The body is at the Baumgardner funeral home in Smithfield where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. H. K. Hilberry officiating. Interment in Bloomfield cemetery --1943
