Chapter
Regent Edith Knott
Welcome
to our web site! We invite you to come in, browse around, and meet a
few of our members. You will see for yourself an active, vital, and
happy chapter. What joins all of us together is the friendship,
camaraderie, and service to others that we share as members. All of us
are linked through our ancestors to the early days of our country.
Learn about several of our projects promoting the Daughters of the American
Revolution (DAR)
motto of service to
"God,
Home, and
Country." If you are a member of the DAR or eligible
through one
of your ancestor's patriotic service during the American Revolution or
are a current member new to the area, we hope you will accept our
invitation to attend one of our meetings.
As one of the largest women's organizations
in the
United States, the DAR is a vibrant, growing organization of women who
are interested in America's rich history, researching their
family roots, education, and community service.
We
enjoy working together to serve our state and national societies in
support of the objectives of the National Society Daughters of the
American Revolution; those objectives are to promote historic preservation,
education, and patriotism.
Meetings
are held in Albuquerque, New Mexico,
on the third Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. September through
May. We have time for visiting and enjoying an interesting program
followed by a brief business meeting.

Today's DAR

This video highlights the vibrant, active organization the DAR is today
and reinforces the diversity of its membership and service work. While
just a snapshot of the multitude of efforts of the
National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, the video
captures an overview of the grassroots service programs and members
that make the DAR so special and worthwhile.
