Membership meetings are held at 10:00 a.m. on the third Saturday of the month,
January through May and September through November. From 9:00 a.m. until noon on
meeting days, GCGS's genealogical exchange journal library is open for members
to check out some other societies' journals. Regular meetings usually end about
11:30 a.m. Occasionally, our Computer Users' Group will meet at the conclusion
of our regular meetings.
We usually meet in the fellowship hall of Peace United Church of Christ, located at
2714 West Market Street in Greensboro just off W. Wendover Avenue.
The fellowship hall is in the rear of the building. Park in the back and enter the door nearest N. Lindell Road.

The Guilford County Genealogical Society, founded in 1974, is a non-profit organization of over 250 members nationwide, dedicated to genealogy and family history research, education and publication. Through its educational programs and publications, GCGS promotes interest in genealogy and standards of genealogical research. GCGS also promotes the collection and preservation of family records, manuscripts, documents and other genealogy materials. Although the primary focus of GCGS is Guilford County genealogy, many of GCGS's programs are of general interest to anyone interested in genealogy.
