Mary Hill

AMORY — Mary Hill, 82, died Dec. 21, 2008, at Golden Living 
Center in Amory. Graveside services are Tuesday at 2 p.m. at 
Masonic Cemetery in Amory with the Rev. Randy Spencer officiating. 
Visitation will continue today until 1:30 p.m. at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home of Amory. 


Mrs. Hill was born Jan. 5, 1926, in Amory to the late Joe and 
Gussie Sloan Armstrong. She was Baptist and a homemaker. In addition 
to her parents; she was preceded in death by two husbands, Gilbert D.
 Summerford and Edsel Hill; son, Randall Summerford; brothers, 
Granville, J.B., E.D., Billy, Joe and John Paul Armstrong; and sisters, 
Mable Young and Nell Armstrong. 

She is survived by her sisters, Burma Brown and Nettie Calhoun, 
both of Amory, and Gussie Armstrong of Fulton; two grandchildren 
and one great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Curt 
Pearce, Joshua Calhoun, Jake Higginbotham, Greg Edwards, 
Christopher Waddle, and Rodney and Richard Armstrong
