Seth Hester

PRAIRIE — Seth William Hester, 54, died Dec. 22, 2008, at Pioneer 
Community Hospital-Aberdeen. Services are Saturday at noon at Raleigh 
Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Smith County with Bro. Daryl Craft 
officiating. Burial will follow at East Side Baptist Church Cemetery in 
Smith County. Visitation is Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Tisdale-Lann Memorial 
Funeral Home in Aberdeen, and the body will be at Raleigh Colonial Chapel 
one hour prior to services on Saturday. 

Mr. Hester was born Dec. 31, 1953, in Smith County to the late Fred and 
Marjorie Vinzant Hester. He had lived in Aberdeen since 1994. He retired 
as a foreman from the city of Columbus after 14 years of service. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony 
Hester; and sister, Brenda Glenn. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Kay 
Chestnut Hester of Aberdeen; stepsons, Ricky Posey and Ryan Sampson, 
both of Aberdeen; sisters, Frankie McBeth of Lena, Rhonda Smith of 
Pineville, and Fredna Robinson and Betty Bryant, both of Raleigh; and 
brother, Randall Hester of Brandon.
