Ellen Rebecca Spalding, daughter of Benedict Spalding and Alethia Greenwell, was born on September 19, 1821 and died on December 11, 1898. She married first, Joseph Dunbar, Jr. (1805-1852) on June 8, 1848. Her second husband was John Felix Fenwick (1819-1886) whom she married on October 16, 1862
