The first is "The History of Hyattstown ", Maryland. The book was written for the Bicentennial Celebration of Hyattstown. This book contains chapters which encompass the Founding 1780's through 1860, The Civil War Years , Post -War Years, and a house by house pictorial history using old photographs. Also included: directories of postmasters, postal patrons, physicians, two historical poems written about the residents and businesses, charts of the town lots and residents in various years, historical sketches of four churches and their ministers and muster rolls of men who served in various wars. The cover of the book is adorned with a street scene of Hyattstown, an original artwork by artist Louise Ehlers.
