In the name of God Amen:
I, Ruth Ann Caple of Carroll County in the State of Maryland being
in perfect health of body and of sound and disposing mind, memory and
understanding, concidering the certainty of death and the uncertainty of the
time thereof and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs do therefore
make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following:
I give and bequeath to Mary Ann Caple my daughter at my decease all my
right title and interest in a Mortgage of Five hundred and fifty four dollars
and fifteen cents held by George Warner against the Maryland plantation owned
and occupied by Jacob Caple my husband in his life time. The said George
Warner having as signed the above named Mortgage to my son William H. Caple
and in his name the same has been transferred to me Ruth Ann Caple and in my
name and I have paid and satisfied the said Mortgage this bequest to be upon
condition that the said Mary Ann Caple provide for and support me during my
natural life and bear my burial expenses at my decease. Also that she enclose
the place of burial of myself and husband with a respectable fence to be of
wooden posts, painted and a chain passing through them, surrounding our
graves.
I give and bequeath to my sons William H. Caple, Samuel L. Caple, Joseph C. Caple, and Jacob W. Caple each one dollar, also to my daughter Sophia M. Bush one dollar.
I give and bequeath to my two daughters Sophia M. Bush and Mary Ann Caple at my decease all my remaining personal property at that time embracing, Stock, Household Furniture, money or whatever else to be divided equally between them share and share alike.
And lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint Daniel Hawn to be sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament in testimony, whereof I hereto set my hand and seal this 20th day of August in the year 1873.

as and for her last Will and Testament in our presence, who at her request
and presence of each other have hereto set our hands as witnesses hereto.
