Last Will & Testament of William Lynch of Baltimore County,
dated 10 Sep 1806, proved 20 Dec 1806

In the name of God Amen. I William Lynch of Baltimore County, State of Maryland, being weak in body but in perfect mind and memory do make this my last will and Testament revoking all others heretofore by me made in the following manner Viz.

First my will and desire is that all my personal Estate be sold and the monies arising on the sale applied towards paying my just debts, and in case the said monies should not be sufficient, then my will and desire is that all my Land lying in Patapsco Neck wheather called Pleasant Plains or by any other name be sold and the monies arising on the sale applied also towards paying my just debts and in case the said monies should still not be sufficient then my will and desire is that all the rest of my Land in Baltimore County be sold and the monies arising on the sale applied also towards paying my just debts.

Item. I give and bequeath to my son William Lynch after my just debts are paid all the rest and residue of my Estate to be paid when he shall arrive at the age of twenty one years.

Item. My will and desire is that if my son William Lynch should die without issue before he arrives at the age of twenty-one years then all my Lands if any should remain after my just debts are paid be sold and the monies arising on the sale together with all over plus monies remaining from any antecedent sale equally divided among all the children of the three sisters Sarah Wilkinson, Deborah Owings and Nelly Owings.

Item. I give devise and bequeath to Cornelius Howard his heirs and assigns forever the privilege of drawing the water from my Land called Mount Organ by means of a ditch towards the medows and Mill Pool of the said Cornelius Howard, begining the ditch below a stone now set up and calling the same in a conveniant direction,

and lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint Cornelius Howard to be sole Executor of this my last will and Testament empowering him to sell all my Lands for the purposes herein mentioned and to execute deeds in fee simple to the purchasers for the same and I do give to the said Cornelius Howard as a compensation for his services in selling up my Estate the sum of four hundred dollars. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this tenth day of September 1806.

Baltimore County to wit on the 20 day of December 1806 came Joseph Wright one of the subscribing evidences to the aforegoing last Will and Testament of William Lynch deceased and made oath [symbol] that they did see the Testator sign and seal this will that they heard him publish pronounce and declare the same to be his last will and Testament that at the time of his so doing he was to the best of his apprehensions of sound disposing mind memory and understanding and that he subscribed his name as a witness to this will in his presence at his request and in the presence of Joseph Wright & John Lowe Junr. who subscribed their names as witnesses to the same.
