The family is interested in the Covington family
of Somerset and Talbot counties. The first Covington was Nehemiah, who arrived
as an indentured servant in Va. This Covington was arrested for stealing a
piece of cheese and being "rude" to the magistrate's wife and ended up
as a constable and plantation owner on the eastern shore of Va. We're looking
for his and other family gravesites and/or birth/marriage records.

I am new to the search, but am desperately
interested in finding out anything about my Maryland roots. My father,William
Andrew ECKERT(1915- 1983) I believe was born in MD. His father, Andrew

area. She died when William was very young, and the family later moved to
Fayette County, PA, where Andrew and his second wife, Nellie Jennings, are
buried. Andrew's parents, Luther J, and Kate E. ECKERT are also buried in
Fayette County, PA. Any information on the ECKERT or NASH connections would be

Am researching Peter and Elizabeth (?) Wetzel
Peter was born approx 1769 and Elizabeth b: 26 Aug 1769. I found them
listed in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Baptizmal Records from the dates of
1792-1795. Their first two children, Elizabeth and George Wetzel were born in MD
during this time. Mary, John Frederick, Samuel, Anna, Sophia, Michael, Peter
and Jesse were all born in Wythe Co. VA. I believe that Peter and Elizabeth had
lived in Washington Co. MD prior to this where they were probably married. I
will share information that I have also.

I am seeking information about an aunt of mine who
was a stripper in Baltimore in the late 1940's and 1950's. I'm not sure when
she quit stripping. I know that she performed under the name of Shirley but
not sure what surname she used. Could have been Patrick, Durham, or Cornwell.
Am also not sure of where she performed other than I have heard it said, "The
Devil's Kitchen". Is that an area of Baltimore? a club? or just my
family's terminology??? Pictures of her during that time show her as a very "Jean
Harlow" type curvy blond. Her unmarried name was Charlene PATRICK
and at the time she was stripping she was divorced from Carl DURHAM. I believe
she met her later husband (Walt CORNWELL) while she was working. He was a
merchant marine.

Cassandra b. circa 1820. - James and his brother Sylvester purchased 50 acres of

assume that James later returned to Harford County, Maryland sometime after 1871
because we found him in the 1880 Maryland census. William Thompson, b. 1828 - d.
1901 - We think he was born in Harford County, Maryland. He died in
