Kleinsmith, Charles J. Charles was born in Iowa and moved to MD
when he was a boy. He had a sister Mary Agnes(never married) and
a sister Margaret. Margaret married a Wareheime. Their mother was
Margaret Peter Bergman married to my Great Grandfather August
Kleinsmith. August died in Anne Arundel county while farming.
The rest of the familty moved to Baltimore. They used to live on
Sharp Street. They were Catholic and went to a C-School around there.
Their church was also close by. Charles used to work for a railroad
downtown area. I think he worked on the trains. He died young, but
do not know when. Would like any info on the church or railroad
so that I can find out what happened to him. The family was still
living on Sharp Street in 1939 from the city directories, but charles
not listed with them. Their are many Kleinsmith/kleinschmidts listed but are not directly
related to me.

Thomas Bartholomew ZUKAUSKAS/ZUKAS, b. abt 1837, Lithuania,

Martha may have been Thomas' second wife. They are buried
somewhere in the Baltimore area. Four children born to this
union, Thomas Bartholomew Jr., b. 19 May 1893, Charles E., b.
27 May 1895, Joseph, 10 April 1901, and Ona "Anna", b. 4 March
1905, married Joseph FRANCKEWITZ. Thomas and Charles, and
families, are buried in Oaklawn Cemetery of Baltimore. Looking
for burial locations of Joseph and Anna. Anna died in
Carrollton, MD in June 1978. Any feedback greatly appreciated.

Researching Nathaniel DAVIS and descendant Nathaniel DAVIS, Jr.
Nathaniel Sr. was born ca 1700 in England (Wales?). Wife's name Hannah
?? First report of Nathaniel Sr. is land purchases in Baltimore County above
Patapusco Falls in 1727; land purchases continuing until 1760.
In 1770, Nathaniel Sr. began selling land to (it is believed) his sons
Robert, Thomas, and Nathaniel, Jr completing the sales in 1783. It
is believed Nathaniel Sr. died about 1875.
Nathaniel DAVIS, Jr. (born 1741/1742) married Catherine Griffin/Griffith
1761-1767 (Marriage not located in MD records). In 1785, Nathaniel, Jr.
sold his MD property and the family removed to Ohio Co., VA (now Brooke
Co., VA) where he lived but a few years longer. He and wife were parents
of 4 sons and 8 daughters; the eldest 10 children being born in MD.

My maternal grandfather Gaetano Merolla received his Certificate of
Naturalization from the Baltimore City Court, Eighth Judicial Circuit of
the State of Maryland on 1 October 1894. This certificate gives Italy
only as place of birth, no town or province, and provides no information
as to when he emigrated, what date, what ship, ports of embarkation and
debarkation. I understand that the Petition for Certificate of
Naturalization may contain such data, and was likely filed in the same
Court. Can anyone tell me where to find and/or address Baltimore City
Court, Eighth Judicial Circuit Court today. I will much appreciate all

1753, who served in the Maryland Militia during the American Revolution.
He received bounty land in Sullivan County, TN and resided there until
his death in the early 19th c. His son, Thomas (Jehu) Cox was also born
in Baltimore County, MD circa 1790 and was married to Sarah (Sallie)

I am looking for info on my ggrandfather John Hume . He lived in
Baltimore City on East Fayette St. He arrived in Allegheny County P.A.
from England in 1876 . He moved to V.A. , got married to Lucy? and
fathered two children before coming to Baltimore with his family. His
children Ella and Carroll were born in Virginia , but his third child was
born in Baltimore 1886. John Hume was born in February of 1858 in England

born abt. 1896. George was married to MARGARET ENSOR STEWART and living

in 1843 in Carroll Co. Md. I believe he is a son or grandson of
Mordecai Selby in the 1800 census. I believe he may be the son
of John Selby in 1820 census. John may have married Ann McDonald.
William H. may have had a brother named Mordecai. Mordecai named
his children the same names that Wm. H. named his children.

Looking for any and all information on the surname HELMERS/
HELLMERS. Gerhard Helmers was born in Baltimore in 1860.
We're guessing from sometime between 1840-1860 them came
