Lowe, aged thirteen years, died Sunday from injuries received in a riding accident Saturday evening while visiting his aunt, Mrs. H. J. Shunk, in the Twelfth district of this county. He went horseback riding with his cousin, who is also a youth. As they were returning to Mr. Shunk's home and were in sight of the house, Lowe fell or was thrown to the ground and cut his head upon a stone. Upon getting up he went to the house and complained that his head hurt. About 2 o'clock the next morning he awoke and was seized with violent fits of vomiting. A physician was hastily summoned, buy could not save his life, and the boy died at 5 o'clock in great agony. Death is said to have been caused by a rupture of a small blood-vessel, which resulted in an effusion of blood upon the brain. | Balto. County Democrat |
