Now dear husband, fare you well,
With you on earth I cease to dwell,
Our union here, though short was sweet,
I hope in Heaven we soon shall meet.
I know that you will lonely be.
Yet do not grieve or weep for me
For I am free from every pain,
THen pray that we shall soon meet again
Farewell dear Annie, cold is the bed
Where thou doth sleep beneath the sod
May angels guard thy guilest head
While your bright spirit rests with God.

GREENWALDSarah10 Mar 187127 Mar 1871In Memoriam: To SARAH GREENWALD, eldest and only daughter of Samuel Greenwald and Matilda Greewald, ages 4 years. 10 months, and 13 days, who departed this life Friday March 10, 1871, Another flower, beautiful and fair to gaze upon, has been torn by the grasping hand of death before the household had scarely been acquainted with her presence. She has been transplanted to the Garden of Eden, A father's joy and mother's pride, and an only brother's companion, she had been suddenly cut down, and the home late so cheerful is now the abode of grief. Scarcely ten months ago she was overwhelmed with the loss of a dear grandmother, Though, they both have been taken away from this world of sorrow, her spirit still remains and the recollections of her noble. although only budding qualities shall ever be sacred to her memory. GUISHARDJames28 Aug 186714 Sept 1867JAMES GUISHARD, aged 67 years died 28th August, at his residence, after a serious and painful illness. In the langauge of Tupper: "Keep silence, daughter of frivolty, For death is in tyhat chamber: - He hath anatomised soul and body." Yes he hathinvaded the domestic circle and taken away the old man whose hoary locks had for some time past been pointing as an index towards the tomb. The young may die-the old must; so it was with the venerable old man who is the subject of our remarks. Time in his rapid rolling car, has borne him away, ere he reached three score years and ten, "to the bourue from which no travler returns." Aster passing the meridan of life he was struck down by organic disease of the nervous system, from which he never recovered ere his death not withstanding, the best medical aid had been brought to his bed side. After a well spent life, beloved by friend far and near, he was called to answer the great summons of the Omnipotence, - whose power is irresistable when the patient falls a victim to that malady whose atmosphere is surrounded by death. Medical skill had been taxed to the uttermost bounds of science to save him from the grave....Maryland Journal
