Weep not though far away from home,
And in his youth he dies;
Weep not, for oh, kind friends were near.
And closed his dying eyes.
Then weep not, but prepare to meet
When sleeping dust shall rise.
When kindred friends again shall greet
Eash other in the skies
Then weep not, dearest parents,
Nor mourn his early doom,
Nor you beloved brothers,
Weep in anguish o'er his tomb.
Nor you, his dear companions,
Wear no cloud upon your brow
For never mid his brightest joys
Was he so blessed as now,
Twas hard, I know to give him up,
but strive to bear the pain
Your dearest Maudlin is at rest
Where all can meet again.
His remains will be interred in the Western Cemetery, this (Tuesday) afternoon, 29tyh inst. at two o'clock.
