I am seeking information on a MURDOCH family of Cumberland, MD. Lived in Allegany County or Cumberland proper in the years between 1775 - 1820 or so. Had daughters named Isabella, Lavinia, Maria, Jane, and sons named Francis B. (probably Bailey), William, Robert, John. Several of these children married into families in Bedford, PA (Barclay, Espy) and converted to the Swedenborgian faith (among the earliest converts in America). Father may have been James, Patrick??? Not sure.

Looking for information regarding my gggrandfather Richard KENNEY: owned a bar in Cumberland before moving to Elk Garden, WV (somewhere just prior to 1870. Time period likely 1864-1869. He had a brother John that lived in Frostburg. They both went to Montana where Richard passed, and John buried him there. John returned to MD. I am pushing a large rock uphill on this one, so hints and suggestions are appreciated. Thanx in advance.

Looking for information regarding Richard and Bridgit KENNEY, her maiden name is CALLERY, during the period 1866-1869. Weak evidence suggests they lived in the Cumberland area, and Richard either owned or worked in a local pub. They immigrated from Ireland sometime bewteen 1860 and 1865; more likely 1865. Relations of KENNEY can be found in Frostburg, Mt Savage, and Westernport as well.

Looking for descendents of Pinkney (Pinkna) P. WARD and Rebecca J. GALLAGHER/GOLLIKER. Would like to know what you know of Pinkney's civil war service and if you know of a BOLLEY who would have served with him in the war. Pinkney and wife were in Allegany Co. Md. on census from 1870 and 1880.
