I am searching for any information on William CUNROD b. 12/25/1850 d. 2/12/1934 and he was married to Margaret RICE b. 9/18/1852 d. 7/9/1904. They sometimes used the surname of CONRAD also. Their children were John Henry, Dillie Blanche, Simon Blair, Bertha Mae, Humphrey D. Tate, Amanda Myrtle, George Thomas, Nellie Bly, and Martin Luther. I have many documents placing this family in the Cumberland, Maryland area in the early 1900's. Margaret died in 1904 and I believe she lived in Cumberland at the time. I also have a newspaper article stating that Humphrey Tate drowned in the C&O canal in 1905, he worked as a farm hand on the Hitchcock Farm. I know he was buried somewhere in Cumberland. Nellie and Martin ended up residing in the area till there deaths. I do know that Nellie married Vernon Bennett. If anyone has any information on this line of my family please do not hesitate to let me know I will appreciate any help that I can get.

My great, great grandmother Sophia HUGHES married Henry SHAFFER (I know a lot about the SHAFFERS). Sophia had a brother named Samuel (per 1850 census) There may have been other siblings. Her mother's name was also Sophia. Would like to find out father's name. I have record of a marriage in 1825 between Sophia DAVIS and George HUGHES. I have no way of knowing if this was my Sophia or not. This is a brick wall. Help!

I am searching for the burial place of my great, great grandfather, David George ROY, miner, who emigrated from Scotland in 1848, filed his intention 13 Oct 1851, received his citzenship papers 13 Oct 1853, and died at Eckhart Mines 23 Nov 1853. His widow, Mary MCLEAN ROY, survived him. His son, Andrew ROY, was off in Arkansas in 1860, was a wounded prisoner of war, returned home and married Jannet WATSON 21 July 1864 at Eckhart Mines. Are there any mine records or newspapers for 1853? Do you know of Andrew, James, David, and John ROY, his sons; or Andrew's friends, Joseph STEWART, Alexander SLOAN, Townsend, or Andrew SPIER? Which pages include the Eckhart Mines and Pompey Smash/Vale Summit on the 1860 Census? Are the mines and houses still standing?

SEABER, Sr., born 3/11/1908, Westernport, Md.; my grandfather Harry William SEABER, born Westernport, Md.; my great grandfather John SEABER, born either Western Md., or Penna. I am trying to research the SEABER line, but I can't go back beyond my greatgrandfather John SEABER. Any help you can give me would greatly appreciated.

I have an aunt, my fathers sister Gertrude F. SEABER living in Westernport, Md. My grandfather Harry William SEABER was married to Eunice Gertrude FOYE of Western Md. My Father Virgil M. SEABER & Jerold SEABER, together the owned and opperated The SEABER Art and Decorating Co. officed in Westernport, Md.

My grandfather Harry William SEABER had two brothers: William SEABER of Westernport, Md and Fred SEABER of Westernport, Md., then moved to Baltimore, Md. Harry William Seaber was a business man well known all over Western Maryland, WV., and Penna.

My aunt Gertrude F. SEABER owned Keyser Photo Studio, Keyser, WV. I have a second cousin Helen SEABER of Westernport, Md., that was married to William (Bill) Seaber, Jr., son of William Seaber on Walnut Street, Westernport, Md.

Any help you can give me on the Seaber family and how they arrived to America from Germany, as I understand there were three brothers that came to America, two made their home in Penna., Western Maryland area and the other one went west (maybe in the Gold-Rush and was never heard of again). Thank you for any help you can supply to help me continue my research. Blessings, Rev. Virgil M. Seaber, Jr. 843-667-6907
