Looking for any info on Ephraim HALDEMAN who died in Brady, Maryland, Late 1901 or Jan 1902. He was found on park bench by a police man and taken to hospital where he died. Does anyone know of a way I can check out this story? Ephraim was my Great Grandfather and have been looking for him for many years. Thanks in advance for any help given

I am looking for any one who may have information regarding the SCHEIMERS / SHIMERS who settled around 1749 in the area of Barton, Maryland. My first ancestor, Daniel SCHEIMER, came to America in 1749 with his brothers Frederick and Michael from Germany. Daniel Settled in Allegany County, Maryland.
His grandson, William SHIMER, was married in 1829 in Barton, Maryland. The family was Methodist. I don't have much information on Daniel SCHEIMER (ie. who he married, when and where; where he was buried, etc.). It is said that his son, James SHIMER, fought in the Revolution in Northampton County, PA. Daniel SHIMER's grandson William and Great Grandson, George W. SHIMER, moved to Calhoun County, WVa at the start of the Civil War.

Looking for anyone who might have information or is researching the SHIMER (SCHEIMER) family in Allegany and surrounding counties. My ancestor, Daniel SCHEIMER, landed in Philadelphia in 1749 with his brothers Friedric and Michel (Frederick and Michael). They started from Germany through the port of Rotterdam.
Daniel SHIMER "settled in the fromtier community of Frederick in the Colony of Maryland" is about all I have on him. His grandson William was married in Barton, MD in 1829 and his ggrandson George was born in Barton in 1832. Can anyone help?
I am looking for any information on the descendants of Daniel SCHEIMER: ie. James, Ezekiel, William SHIMER. Thanks.

James CALLAHAN was born 1821 in Newry / Armaugh Ireland and died 14 December 1898 in Juniata Township, Bedford County.He married Elizabeth JOHNSON, daughter of James JOHNSON and Mary ALLENDER. She was born 24 August 1833 in Virgina and died 23 November 1913 in Juniata Township.

I am looking for information on Carrie CUTTER who married Walter PHILLIPS. They had a son John Sheridan PHILLIPS and a daughter named Hazel BEALE (married name). They live in the Westernport, MD area.

I know that Peter GAREY (also seen as GEARY and GARY) married Mary RIZER 24 Aug 1810 in Allegany Co, Maryland. Two GARY daughters are mentioned in the will of their RIZER grandmother. These were Margaret and Elizabeth GRAY. Efforts to find this family in the Allegany Co. deeds and census have only been confusing.
I believe I have found the will of this Peter GAR(E)Y. He seems to have died in Aug 1870 in Allegany Co. He has 6 children mentioned in the will so probably was married after the death of Mary RIZER. Listed in the will are: Elizabeth b. 1816 d. 1871? Married to Daniel ASH and then to Henry MITCHELL. Julia b. ??? married Harry C. MARKS and lived in Somerset Co., Penn in 1870 Mary A. b.??? married John SHILLING and lived in Allegany Co, Md. in 1870 John (no definite info found) Joseph (no definite info found) If I have errors in the above, I would appreciate corrections.

I am searching for information relating to my great-grandmother, Charlotte LEONARD. She was married to William LEONARD and they moved from Brownsvville PA to Cumberland in 1873. She was the mother of Thomas A. LEONARD, born 1855 in Brownsville, PA and moved to Cumberland in 1875. Thomas was deputy clerk of the court and editor of the Cumberland Daily News. He was married to Florence A. STEINER and died in 1928.The gravestone in Rose Hill cemetary next to William's is marked Louisa LEONARD b. 1844, d.1910. What happened to Charlotte? I am looking for information about my great-grandfather & great-grandmother, Samuel David DAWSON & Emma Jane MARTIN. He was a United Brethren preacher. His church was Mt. Zion and I think it is located in Three Churches, West Virginia. They had 13 children, one was my grandmother. Her name was Amanda Viola DAWSON, born in Dawson, Md. in 1895 and died in 1934. She is buried at Mt.Zion Cemetery. Amanda was married to Sidney HOCKADAY. Does anyone have any information about them?
