Looking for information on John EDENHART, d. 1922 in Cumberland, buried at St. Patrick's Cemetery. John was married to a CLARKE, and was the father of three children who died in infancy: Elizabeth (d. 1903), John P. (d. 1907) and Helen (d. 1918).
Also looking for information on Levi WESTBROOK, d. 1903 in Cumberland - buried at St. Patrick's Cemetery. Levi was married to Veronica B. CLARKE.

Joshua Hopwood, Douglas Percy Shaw, George Hial Shaw and Joseph Spense Shaw all lived in Frostburg between 1820 and 1910.

I am looking for information about my paternal grandfather's family, Joseph Albert MACKERT of Cumberland, (b. 7-6-1897). He was the son of Edward A. MACKERT of Mechanic St. His mother was Agnes LOGSDON of Mt. Savage( I think) who died when he was 8. He married Ruth Naomi SMITH of Cumberland at St. Peter and Paul's Church. His brother, Clarence, died 1-22-1935, he also had a brother Edward of Ridgely and sisters Emma Aman and Thesea Gordon of Cumberland. My gg-grandfather was Kassum who may have come from Germany. Any confirmation or additional information would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for info on "the old hotel at Oakland" or the "Bishoff Hotel". I have info that my great-great grandfather, Orange Wright THAYER lived there during the Civil War. He was married to Mary TRENT. Their son, Daniel TRENT THAYER, was my great-grandfather. He married Minnie Ann DEWITT. I would really like to find out more about this hotel ! I am looking for information about my paternal grandmother's family, the RAFFERTY'S of Frostburg. My grandmother was Leona RAFFERTY ( married Robert CARTER of Mt. Savage), her sisters were: Elizabeth, Frances, Laverne, Alberta, and 1/2 sister, Katherine. Her mother was Laura LYONS, who died when my grandmother was 3 years old in Baltimore. Her husband, my gg-father was Michael RAFFERTY was a miner and died when my grandmother was 7.
She was raised by his sister, Maynie(?)RAFFERTY, who had two daughters, Bernadette and Regina. In addition to Maynie, Michael's siblings were: John, Charlie,Barney, Jenny, and Biddy. Laura LYON's parents were ? LYONS and Frances ARNOLD who later married a SMITH. My paternal gg- parents were Patrick and Mary RAFFERTY of Frostburg who came from Ireland. Any additional info. would be greatly appreciated.
