Nathaniel Ellsworth GATES b. 1791 in NJ married Sarah RHODES b. 1803 in MD. Nathaniel was a United Brethern minister. They had 13 known children: Nathaniel, Theophilus, Jacob, Samuel, George, Mary, Jeremiah, Albert, James, Sarah Ellen, Anna, Margaret, Benjamin. Who were Sarah & Nathaniel's parents? Some of their children were born in Allegany Co., MD, some in Preston Co., Va, some in Bedford Co. PA.

Looking for any information on my GGG grandfather, Jesse WALKER, b. 7/11/1795 in Allegany Co.,MD. He was married to Catherine. I don't know her maiden name. She was born 8/20/1801 in Allegany Co. The family moved to Knox Co.,Ohio around 1840. They then moved to Fulton Co., IL, where they both died. Jesse died 7/26/1876 and Catherine died 8/5/1859. Thank you.

Does anyone have any information about the GLADFELTY family? Alexander GLADFELTY married Louisa OHAVER. Their children were Chester, Eva Maud, Lulu, and Stella. Eva Maud married George B. PERCY and they moved to central Ohio. George is the son of William R. PERCY who built the Gladstone (Fallinger's Hotel Gunter) along with his son-in-law Gladstone HITCHINS. George and Eva are my great- grandparents. I do know some of the PERCY history thanks to the local museum in Frostburg, but of course I have many missing piecs to the family history. I can not seem to trace the GLADFELTY's back any farther than Alexander. They were originally in Meyersdale, PA.

I am looking for information a marriage between Benjamin TROUTMAN and Catherine WOLGERMAN/WALGERMAN that happened probably around Cumberland between 1810 and 1825. I am also looking for information on the WOLGERMAN/WALGERMAN family. I don't know other alternate spellings but other possibilities would be gratefully accepted. Catherine WALGERMAN/WOLGERMAN was born about 1795 in Maryland and I know that Benjamin apprenticed himself to a gunsmith in Cumberland around this time. ggrandparents, George LEIBFRIED and Maria Theresia LEPORIN arrived 1837-39 in Cumberland via Baltimore. She first married Adam MUTH in St Pat. church on Apr 25, 1839. After MUTH died Nov 4, 1845 , she married George LEIBFRIED on JAN 6, 1846. They moved to the Potosi, WI area about 1850.
