I am looking for the ancestors of Daniel RUSH. He was born c. 1795 possibly in Allegany Co, but his parents may have lived in Washington Co, before the two split. In 1819 Daniel married Elizabeth DUCKWORTH. In 1827 He moved to Marion Co., OH and in 1849 to Fayette Co., IL, where he died. I believe that the RUSH name was originally spelled RAUSCH and that his ancestors may have come from Baden-Baden, Germany, prior to the Rev. War.

Wishing to correspond with anyone who is also searching COLLINS and/or DEW. James Staton COLLINS, b Cambridge, MD, lived for a short time in Allegany Co., MD (abt. 1795 - 1800) with his wife, Sarah E. ANDERSON. He had 12 children with this first wife. They all moved to Fairfield County, OH in the early 1800s. Was he related to other COLLINS in that county, specifically a Johnson COLLINS?

After death of Sarah E. in OH 1806, James COLLINS took Charity DEW, widow of Ishmael DEW, as his 2nd wife. I am trying to connect this Ishmael Dew with the Thomas and Josina Crabtree DEW family in Allegany County, MD and cannot do so. A group of families from this county moved together to Fairfield County, OH.
