What's New on the Carter County Website
On some pages you can save a copy of a photo/document image to your PC
by placing your mouse pointer on the image and doing a "right click".
Choose the "Save image as" menu option.
On other pages, you'll have to save the page's HTML code to your disk.
In order to make a series of newly added obits easier to search through, you may wish to open the "Obituaries" page in a separate tab.
That way you can more easily switch between the "What's New" list of names and the list of names on the "Obituary" page proper.

| A really interesting map of 1839 Kentucky. It was difficut to photograph the entire map clearly, but when I focused on northeast Kentucky I was able to obtain a very usable image. This map was produced before Carter County was created and widely settled. Maps from this era are few and far between. | The Morehead Theatre Guild will present Bloody Rowan October 5-7 and October 12-14, 2012 at the old Courthouse Theater in Morehead, KY. This play was written by and will be directed by Dr. J. D. Reeder. It is part of the Morehead State University’s 125th anniversary celebration. Dr. Reeder is a Tolliver descendant and an authority on the Tolliver-Martin Feud. The feud is also known as the Rowan County War. Tickets for the play may be purchased on-line at the following website, www.moreheadtheatre.org by anyone who has a PayPal account or any other credit card. Just follow the instructions on the website. Make sure you print your receipt. You will need it when you claim your tickets at the box office.
