Some Of the Cemeteries In DeKalb, Grundy, Kane, and LaSalle Counties Located In Townships Contiguous To Kendall County

The only DeKalb County Township contiguous to Kendall County is Sandwich Township. However I am including information on Somonauk Township cemeteries as well because of the special circumstance that exist. The "typical" township is six miles square. Sandwich and Somonauk Townships occupy what would normally be a single township. Both townships were formed from a single area six miles square. The dividing line between the two townships is a north-south line through the center of the square. Thus each township measures three by six miles rather that six by six miles. Sandwich Township lies in the eastern half and Somonauk in the western half of the square.
