 The genealogy collection at Largo Library consists of books, periodicals, micro-forms, data on Discs and miscellaneous files. 

The Collection is geared to the needs of genealogy researchers at all levels.

The primary service area of the collection is the Pinellas Public Library Cooperative membership. 

To best serve this constituency, Largo collection complements, rather than duplicates other regional resources including the Tampa Public Library, and Bradenton/Manatee Public Library. 

Since considerable strengths now exist in materials relating to the southeastern United States in these collections, Largo Library does not put its resources into this area. The emphasis is placed on New England, Middle Atlantic and Mid-Western U. S. in terms of investment in acquisitions.  Large amounts of other material have been and will be accepted as gifts to round out the collection so that researchers may find much of what they need at a single location.
