Cardwell County was an electoral district established in 1867. It disappeared in the late 1800's/early 1900's (exact date is unknown).
It was comprised of four townships: Albion, Caledon, Mono, and Adjala.
"Political county and often called an Electoral District, formed in 1867, as a separate riding to elect members of Parliament for both the Canadian House of Commons and the Ontario Legislature to accommodate the additional members given to Upper Canada (Ontario) by the British North America Act." 3
