Van Cott/Van Kat

"Van Cotts in the Old World and New." Annie Anderson Van Cott, manuscript format by the author, completed in 1949. This informative family history begins in 1060 AD in The Netherlands with about 12 generations before the immigration of Claes Corneliussen van Kat to Nieuw Amsterdam in 1662. --- 3 vol; 300 pages; indexed; handtyped on onionskin paper it took 40 years to compile. --- Volume One follows the oldest son, Cornelius van Kat, Volume Two follows Johanne van Kat, and Volume Three follows David van Kat. There are approximately 4 - 5,000 persons mentioned. Many sources and documents are credited as well as genealogists who assisted in the research. Although the index is not totally accurate nor complete, I will attempt to find a given family within the genealogy. I must have all known names, dates, and locations as far back as possible to do a thorough search. If I can place a descendant within this work I will send the relevant data to the family via a mutually agreed upon media. CVC
