"Descendants of Thomas Nash of New Haven, Connecticut." By Deborah Lee Rothery. Published by Higginson Books, 2003. Includes the complete text of "The Nash Family, or Records of the Descendants of Thomas Nash of New Haven, CT, 1640." by Rev. Sylvester Nash, A.M. (1853). This is a genealogy of the descendants of Thomas and Margery (Baker) Nash, emigrants to New Haven, CT, ca. 1640. Rev. Nash did not carry forward female lines, beyond the Nash daughter who married into another surname, and that couple's children. The new book brings forward the female lines, which Rev. Nash didn't do, and brings the male lines forward, as well. There is a prodigious amount of information, although of course I had to rely on submitters, so some lines end early, while others are brought forward to the present (names only for people still living). Dorothy Nash Roberts of Dallas, Texas began the project of bringing the original book forward in 1953, the 100th anniversary of the first book. I took over 12 years before it was completed, and so it was published 150 years after the original. Dorothy's 38 years of research was astounding. She was a university professor and really knew how to research. This book covers many states, as the Nash family moved westward, beginning in 1640 and ending in 1853, with publication of this book. New England states in which Nashes are found in this book include CT, MA and VT. Midwestern states in which Nashes are found in this book include IN, IL, and OH. DLR
