The Prince Rupert Genealogy Club is a non-profit, non-denominational
club formed in 1990 by a group of people who were interested in researching
their family roots. The club provides a venue
where people who are interested in genealogical research can meet, discuss,
and share information and ideas for researching their family
history. The club has a small genealogical
library, research aids, fiche and disks which may be borrowed by
members. We have an associate membership with
British Columbia Genealogical Society allowing us access to their Vancouver
facilities and services.
Genealogy Club membership is $20 annually.
The club meets the first Tuesday of every month, except July and August, at 7:00 pm in the Prince Rupert Public Library Meeting Room. 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm is open for roundtable discussions on items of interest to members, with the club business meeting following, starting at 7:30 pm. Anyone having questions on doing family research is welcome to attend either or both meetings.
