SECOND CREEK CEMETERY
Lawrence County, TN
The first Sunday in May is
Decoration Day at Second Creek Cemetery. The cemetery is located
just over the Alabama State line in Lawrence County, Tennessee. If you
have been planning a trip to the area, this would be an excellent time to visit.
There will be several families at the cemetery on Saturday, decorating their
ancestor’s graves and there are usually several people there that have
researched families in the area. There are also several cemeteries in the
vicinity, Lexington, Porter Town, Grassy, etc. My lines of research include
Shelton, Howard, Todd, Springer, Williams, and Hammond. There are several
members of these families buried at Second Creek.
If you need further information, or directions to the cemetery, please E-mail me at Paula Scales
