RURAL SCHOOL GROWTH
D.S. Mackenzie, deputy minister of Education, stated today that one third as
many shcool districts had been erected since the organization of the province
of Alberta as were in existence at the time of organization in the area
included in the province of Alberta. This means that at least 3600 children
of school age have been added to the population of the province and may be
regarded as an undeniable evidence of the development of our rural districts.
The increase does not include towns or villages.
